AKG C480 B Small Diaphragm Condenser Microphone with CK62 Capsule
AKG C480 B Small Diaphragm Condenser Microphone with CK62 Capsule
The C480 B Combo Reference Modular Condenser Microphone consists of the C480 B power module and CK61 ULS cardioid element. The CK61 element features a linear frequency response and cardioid polar pattern, offering directional pick up and suppression of off-axis ambient signals. The CK61 is designed for use with ambient and live sound recording and reinforcement, as well as studio recording. There are gold-plated connector pins for a high resistance to humidity and temperature extremes and an included W32 windscreen. The C480 B power module supplies 48V of phantom power, switchable attenuation, and low cut roll-off for minimizing low frequency noise and rumble. It is suitable for use with vocal and general instrument capturing in recording or sound reinforcement applications.
Cardioid Polar Pattern
The cardioid polar pattern minimizes noise by attenuating off axis audio, allowing accurate recordings of sounds located in front of the microphone.
Temperature/Humidity Resistant
Gold plated, self-cleaning connector pins provide a high resistance to humidity and temperature extremes.
Interlocking Capsule Design
The Modulock interlocking capsule fits securely on the C480 B power module for a lightweight, durable solution with various recording applications.
High Quality Diaphragm
The CK61 ULS is designed with a gold sputtered diaphragm, contributing to the warmth and sonic quality of the microphone.
Low-Cut Roll Off
The C480 B power module features a low frequency roll-off switch, reducing noise and rumble registered at low frequencies.
