The Apogee AE-12 concert subwoofer and its companion p-12 processor combine to produce extremely high level, low frequency output from an easily transported enclosure. With extremely deep and accurate response (30 hz to 105 hz), the AE-12 adds dramatic impact to musical passages without “Muddying” or coloring the upper frequencies.
The electronically-coupled design integrates the electronic parameters of the processor with both the electro-mechanical characteristics of the drivers and the acoustical properties of the enclosure, achieving optimum performance from the total system.
Designed for concert sound reinforcement, corporate/industrial theater and large clubs or discos, the ae-12 perectly complements the apogee 3×3 tri-amplified concert loudspeaker system, as well as ae-5 loudspeaker arrays.
Flying or stacking multiple units produces even greater low frequency output for outdoor concerts and other large scale events.
Suitable for fixed installation or portable use, the ae-12 includes six handles for ease of handling, built-in rigging points for fluing and dimensions designed for efficient “Truck-pack”.
Containing two 18″ advanced high power, long-excursion cone drivers cooled with ferrofluid, the optimalllly vented enclosure is ruggedly constructed of 100% finland birch ply, finished with high strength epoxy paint and protected with a plastisol damped steel grill. Integrating perfectly with the apogee family of loudspeakers, the addition of an ae-12 significantly increases system headroom and extends the low frequency response for expanded musical accuracy and impact.
