New Version 6 features include a complete user interface redesign, highly CPU-efficient ProVerb convolution reverb plug-in, MasterWorks Leveler limiting amplifier plug-in, XML file interchange with Final Cut Pro, more industry-leading film scoring enhancements, track comping, support for interleaved broadcast WAVE audio files, enhanced support for operation as a software front end for Pro Tools HD systems, pre-rendering of virtual instruments, the ability to “bounce and burn” directly to an audio CD and many other productivity enhancements.
For studio production, song writing, film scoring, live performance, remixing, post production and surround mixing, Digital Performer delivers advanced features in an intuitive, streamlined design.Digital Performer 6.0 installs as a Universal Binary application on an Intel Mac or PowerPC Mac and provides numerous code enhancements and optimizations for both Mac platforms.
The minimum requirements for DP 6 are:
- Mac OS X v10.4.7 or later
- G4 1 GHz or faster
- 1 GB RAM
- A optical disc drive for installation (via CD-ROM)
We recommend:
- Multi-core/multi-processor G5 or Intel-based Mac
- 2 GB RAM or more
- 17″ (or larger) monitor is highly recommended
For using DP6 under DAE mode:
- Pro Tools 7.2 or later is required; DAE 7.4 or later is recommended. Native Instruments users, please see this tech note; Waves users, please see this tech note.
